Kelly & Brooke Bailey have recently sold a gorgeous house in Capitol Hill, in Central Denver. With plenty of space for roommates, this recently renovated house boasts many unique features that had the buyers captivated at first glance!
Just look at the gorgeous exterior. The backyard is so inviting
Much of the interior has been remodeled, but the previous owners did keep many of the original features.
You are stuck with growing old but you don’t need to be stuck with being old.
(a quote by Peter Townsend of The WHO)
There is a lady I know who at age 70 said, “O.K. time for the Pull-ups,” and went promptly to the store and got a case of Depends.
Hey Lady, take thee to your favorite department store and have a savvy sales person shake you out of your granny sox and slip you into something that says I’m alive and on the move. Then go have your hair styled; go crazy color it, have a facial and then go home but be careful to jump back when the old man gets a load of what just walked in his door. Forgive him if he thought it was Sally down the street.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me; I want people to know ‘why’ I look this way. I’ve traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren’t paved. -Will Rodgers
Someone asked me the other day what I thought was the hardest part about selling our Wash Park house. I told them I guess it was making the decision to sell. We knew that the time was coming that we needed to decide to sell. We kept pushing the actual decision down the road. When we finally decided, the next step was cleaning out “stuff”. Even though Kathy, being the good German she is, gets rid of clutter on a regular basis, we still had lots of “stuff”. For me, my office was the biggest challenge. As an example, I had 20 years’ worth of real estate files that I was not about to move….BUT…..I needed to go through each file and make sure all my client’s sensitive information was shredded. Here is the good news for you or for someone you know who will be downsizing: Brooke and I have discovered this great little company that will come to your home, go through your “stuff” with you, help you decide what to keep and what to sell or pitch. They have the contacts that will run a sale for you if you choose. The company is “Moves with a Heart” www.moveswithaheart.com. The owners, Pat Bender and Cathy McCarnn, are terrific! They have helped a number of our clients deal with a chore that looked insurmountable.

Last year I decided to write a blog….and today is the day. I intend that this blog will be devoted to seniors but those of you who do not qualify can still join in on the fun. Who knows, you may learn something that will help you, a relative or a friend. I’ll try to keep my posts light-hearted and brief with a dash of useful information and a laugh or two.
MENDEL’S DEFECATORY PRINCIPLE
My first post is very brief, and is my starting point for my new blog. When I studied this principle in college, I never thought I would reach the point where it was applicable.
Welcome to my new world!
Simple and Elegant…
This is a deceptively simple philosophy that a friend has been working on and refining for most of his life. I am delighted to say that I believe he has refined it down to its essence – sufficiently to share it with a select band of friends that may appreciate its elegance and simplicity. This is Nobel Prize material here!
